Whew! It's Finally Friday

What a week! I'm so glad its Friday Night. In a few minutes, I will head over to the NRRA Drivers Association  meeting. I'm debating if I want to be one of their PRO drivers. I had so much fun when I had my lesson, but not sure I'm ready to commit. It can't hurt to check them out again hear whats going on in the association in this meeting. Later on I plan on spending a relaxing night at home...maybe even turn on my hot tub an let the bubbles take me away.

JUST TRIPPIN

MY SATURDAY WAS FILLED WITH MANY TRIPS TO VARIOUS MOUMENTS. I COULD NOT BRING MYSELF TO GO VISIT THE 9/11 MOUMENT HERE IN SL...TO MANY BAD MEMORIES. I WAS HAPPY TO VISIT THE ONE KEY LADY THAT TRULY REPRESENTED NEW YORK CITY. AND SHE IS LOVELY. GO SEE! THE SIM SHE IS ON IS JUST BEAUTIFUL AND WORTH A GOOD WALK AROUND.

BUMP IT!

Bump it!

I decided to explore the Damania Sim, known for great prefabs with lots of unique details and archetectural structure. The Damani builds are almost futuristic in their shapes and use of textures.

But if your  NOT shopping for a prefab....Urrrr! like me and you want to just have some fun, then check out their 'Bumber Car". Whooo! Hooo! I love these in RL even though I can steer very well. But still alot of fun.

I tried to Bump it, see the Activity Section for my shame on trying to keep my bumber car straight

Labor of Love...Day!

I took in the Nest Street Sale today and picked up some nick knacks for my new house. Not much…I’m minding my budget and prim allowance.I found a fun desk, the Sofia that was smaller than the one I currently had with more features and yessss, low prims at Cheeky Pea.

http://slurl.com/secondlife/The%20Pea/214/124/21

I found a bike I had been wanting since I read about it on a blog for a  steal price at the "What Next" store. And that was it; see I do have self control.

The rest of my time was spent taking photos on this wonderful sim. I loved the decorated details of the stores and the streets.

I even stopped in the Diner for a cup of coffee and a donut. I joined a few home store groups, got inspired and went home like the good little shopaholic that I am.

I found the cutest record store while at the Nest and went down memory lane sorting thru all the vinyl.

HONEY! I'M HOME

Well, I’m home after my trip to Old New York. And guess what, I think my brownstone is too small.  OMG! I know. I just finished decorating it down to my last 10 prims and now I’m fighting my camera views to see all the rooms in my viewer. I can at this point adjust my camera controls thanks to an older blog by GoGo of Juicybomb. Or I can stop stalking Pamela Galli and touring her many homes for the sixth time. No! Joke folks I have been thru each one of her builds at least twice. It’s official as much as I love, love, love my brownstone by Painter Meriman's …… I need bigger rooms. Sigh! I love his attention to details. It’s so hard to find details like his in a brownstone build. But! I guess I need to be a big girl now and leave the city for a home in the Country.  Yeah! I have the cottage to get away too when I want to blog and bob…In the water. But, when it comes to home, I need more rooms, bigger space and Ummmm! Errrr, sorry Painter. More Prims to decorate. My current home is great but it’s a prim eater before furnishings. Awwww! Don’t be mad at me. I have lived here 7mos. Before on another sim and also owned a whole block dedicated to you. I must say “Good bye, now” and call my Realtor.

Here are the listings they gave me…stay tuned to see which one I get and how I decorate it.

Packing my Bags...Heading to Downtown New York

It’s Monday and I just got home from RL work.  I really need to get in the kitchen and be an Iron Chef. That stove is not going to cook a meal itself (Actually, Yeah it will.)
Ok, who am I kidding I coped out and nuked my dinner. Yeah, I got it off the Marketplace…get it? Market…Place. LOL.

Today I’m inspired to check out some old haunts (Sims) I have not visited in a long time. Since, I’m a native NYC girl I think I will go see if that Sim is still there. This Sim  had Brooklyn, parts of Manhattan and the Apollo together. Let me go see if it’s still hard to catch a cab in NYC. Take a look at my attempts in the Fashion Section and I will tell you what I wore to the Big Apple.  Then I think I will head over to Manhattan City and compare realism. The only sim I have ever found that truly got the RL right in my opinion was when Warner Bros. recreated Gossip Girl in SL. Now seriously folks walking those streets made me feel like I was home. They had the street numbers right and the scale bought a tear to my eyes. Their Coffee shop café was like a true New York hangout. And the brownstones inspired me to seek out and get my own. Now I have heard that this Manhattan City boast to be the shinizzel . I can’t wait to walk the streets (no hooker jokes please…they say they have a Red Light District). I heard some of my fav stores are in resident also. So window shopping will be at its most high. That’s what most folks do in RL Manhattan…window shop. Considering I’m busted since the mad clothing sales I will go to look and shoot some photos. Assuming I can catch a cab.  To learn more about this budding NYC type community read this blog.
http://nederpoort.blogspot.com

Its times like these I wonder whether other Sims that represent real world stopping grounds are still around like Moulin Rouge of Paris or the Serengeti of Africa. These are Sims that showed true attention to details. Almost monuments to the real places down to the vibrant dance performances from Moulin to the zebras running free in Africa. I think I will pack my luggage and take some trips to see what countries in SL still exist. I think I will even stop by the Blarney Stone in Dublin, Ireland for a pint of ale. Now that was a SIM build that truly said come visit me in RL. With all the changes in SL over the years, it’s such a shame that some very talented SIM builders were forced to leave due to the SL economy. Don’t get me wrong there is still sparks of imagination. But it’s just masked by high tech and lack of computer upgrades to see. When you toss in new SL version with bugs or if your lucky to even see mesh on your computer it all lends itself to still a good virtual experience. But just not on sensory overload like it use to be. Those creative artists Sims are a dying breed. It uses to be exploration in SL was a profession.  Now …can you believe it, it’s almost a teleporting chore very few still do. As for me, I’m on vacation, so have teleport will travel. I promise to take as many photos as I can…join me on this adventure and let’s see what we see

And don’t even think I’m riding coach when in SL I can afford my own Private Jet.

Need a Retreat to the Country

Now that I have suffiently loaded my inventory closet with some really choice designer threads thanks to Coco, Aoharu,  MyStye and Rockberry surprise sales and reasonable prices, I was exhausted from the city brownstone city digs and decided I needed a place in the country to get away. Some place by the water where I could float on a raft and sip lemonade, while I watched summer breeze by.

I called a few realtors and  found me the  cutest prefab cottage to just die for. It screamed “What Next” to me in such a not so shappy chic way I just had to have it as my country retreat.

THIS IS HOW I VIEWED IT

Toss a Pillow...Toss a Party

Hi! Readers,

MUAHHHH!  To my readers. I know it’s been a while, but I was busy doing stuff for my Events/Activity section of my new blog. Man, blogging is a lot of work, lol. I’m trying to get the order and layout together…so please bare with me I’m new at this. Just try and follow along with my brain on caffeine till I figure it out. But can I just say! WhoooHoooo.

I had to get out of the house and do some serious landscaping; I had been interior decorating for almost a month. I finally got mi casa where it felt like home. My new land is so nice and secluded For those of you that know from my Dear Diary entry, I had very noisy, dangerous neighbors. And ok I will admit it, I ran out of prims and panicked. Begged my realtor to move me to some place quiet, serene and high in prims. Oh! Happy Day when he tp’d me to my new spot and said “This is Alll yours!”.

I decided to throw a sit down dinner party and act all civilized with some legal….urrr PG animations. I called up some old friends that I just missed making time to hang. Since, I have NEVER had a sit down dinner before, I broke out into a panic, thumbed threw my rolodex and called a pro Marina Ramer of Aphrodite. She did some custom work for me before and I loved her attention to details. So, I just knew her food would be de-licious. Marina schooled me on chairs with built in animations fighting with food with built-in animations . In the end I settled on having hor’dovers catered by her and went with some yummy placemats for my dining table.

The House is now a Home

Ok! Peeps, I finally have the decorating under control and all my rooms are somewhat finished …guess what? I barely have prims left. Pooo.
I know I’m not really “Finished” but come on give me credit I really did almost black out when I went back to The Loft for a chaise lounger. If I’m ever banned from that place, I will buy this from the marketplace and wear it for at least a month out side the store. Just Kidding!

I just uploaded the newer version of Phoenix and got Ruthed for my efforts. I had to call my oldest friend SavoyNightfire Dash to help me find me again. She is such an amazing blogger, I can only be inspired by her. I love reading her blogs and getting styling ideas. This woman styles with musical beats in mind. If you want to know what I mean check out her blog.

SavoyNightfire Dash- Material Girl
In SL you can meet some people that can have more styling ability in one pinky than some designers that create the items. Now don’t get me wrong, I can do a low to the knee bow to some designers here. Their ability to mold and shape prims and bake textures (Yeah! I know what I’m saying!) is absolutely amazing. I look at all the designers I have met over the years in SL due to my many titles/professions and can truly see talent in the making. Some of my favorites you will learn about in my fashion section. I just wish there were enough hours in the day to make the many clothing changes I would love to do.  And don’t get me started on my shoe fetish. It’s a fetish…I’m sure. You know how I know? I get giddy and might even drool in RL, ummm at least Miss M does. She is always wiping the keys making me do silly gestures she forgot she programmed into the key board.

I’m sure you asking is this all there is to SL? Clothing and Furniture. No, Silly its what’s on the agenda right now. Its what Newbies do to get grounded in this world and what I have to do to start getting my groove back.

At some point, I will call up my buddy DJ Slidin Dreadlow and beg him for a House Music fix at whatever club he is playing. But you know what that will mean….Hahahahah! I will have to go shopping for better dance AO’s . Its been so long since I shopped for dance moves. I think I’m still doing the “Thriller” dance by MJ in my hud. Sure I could just go dancing and embarrass myself on the dance floor….but WHY? When I can shop. AO huds are getting better and better at making your Avi look for realls.

What's My Prim Limit?

As I look around my home going from room to room, I keep thinking “What’s my prim limit”?

I need a sofa there and a TV here…oh what to do with my upstairs room? If I made it a media room, I would just have to buy another sofa. I know, I know I’m good at justifying reasons to go shopping. Could I be a shopaholic….Naaaaa! This is Second Life. In this environment, there is no such thing as shopaholic. (Note to self…do a search for a therapist, just in case I start to black out after purchases)

Maybe I will downsize my yummy car for something more economical and good on gas (Errr, that means lower prim count in SL) although my car did come with a Landmark to an open race track, “I f…ing love youuuuuu, Developer”, just kidding. But seriously, my car screams “I belong in this picture”. So, I will have to kill a prim some where else for a media floor.

But first things first, I swore when given the time I would do laundry. Everything I find in my inventory lately has been seen by someone at sometime or another. Laundry in SL means deleting things from inventory you know you owned when you were a noob and folding clothes means creating folders to get stuff organized. While I load the machine for laundry Miss M will kill every Ruth dress I dare say I own. I’m such a Fashionista wanna be. If someone caught this stuff in my inventory I would just die. How could I let it get so out of control that I have Ruth maryjanes rubbing up against my stiletto moody maryjanes in my shoe closet. For Shame! For Shame!

Boy! Doing laundry works up my appetite. I still have yet to unpack all the pots and pans that came with my stove. I guess I will have to be an “Iron Chef” tomorrow. Time to order “TAKE OUT”.

I know I need to stop ordering take out and actually go to the market. There really is no excuse why I’m avoiding my kitchen. Oh! Wait I found one… that Asian delivery boy is so Chow Fun cute. And me so “H…..y”. Hahahahahaha. You perves, thought I would spell it. :P

What shall I order?

Orange Chicken

Beef Chow Fun

Should I be worried that my favorite take out place in SL is called the “BELCHING DRAGON”?

Relay Day...Dig Deep and Donate

8:00am

Aaaarrrrrggggh,  It’s Relay day and I need a cup of Joe bad. First thing I did after falling out of bed is find my espresso machine and toaster. Yummmm.

Strike a pose you hot mama...you.

11:00am
Here I am at the beginning of my Relay walk all suited up and ready to wave my flag high.
I’m taking this walk for me as a Survivor and for my Mom, I’m now her Caregiver. During this walk I plan to swing by my fundraising store and see how it’s measuring up with my neighbors creative builds. There are some impressive builds this year

And now for your viewing pleasure, here is my “UNITED” store, where so many gracious, talented designers donated some of their wares for fundraising opportunities.  Bless them all. It is going to hurt to tear down this build when Relay is over and say “GOOD-BYE” to some good times.

Wow! What a day…the Survivor/Caregiver opening ceremony walk was exhausting and I was nuts enough to do it in heels. Go figure? Let me enter my nightly blog post and call it a day. Tomorrow I need to pull my television out my inventory box, see if it needs upgrading and change my neighborhood look.

Work is Almost Done, Bring on the Fun!

Its Friday Nite and I just arrived home for RL work (Aarrrrgggh) Why? Can’t I be a millionaire like I seem to be in SL? Whyyyyyyyy.  The few rooms in my home need some attention (Note to self…beg for more prims). I still have my office, back deck and kitchen to finish. But first let me kick off my shoes and grab a cup of coffee before I hit the sims for my kitchen. Store bought coffee is just not as good as brewed in SL. I can’t wait to get things percolating with my state of the art espresso machine still in the inventory box.

Tomorrow is the last day of Relay….Yeah! I still have to send out my “Thank You” notes and awards for the best “2011 United Ultimate Style Card Team”. Check on my awesome store…Thanks Again! MrLuv Andel. You’re an amazing builder. And then I will be done with my commitments until Relay is over and can really go on my SL vacation. You can check out my fundraiser on its own website www.united-in-style.com . No tainting my blog here with work related stuff.

I’m going to try out my new kitchen animations and check what came with the refrigerator. I’m no gourmet cook but my stove promised me I would virtually serve up food if I just stood in front of it. Yessss, Oh great stove…I hear your calls. The fact that my kitchen can be changed from so many texture choices has me giddy with choices. Do I want black cabinets or beige? Oh! Where is a Home Designer when I need one? I go with the black and tackle my patio deck next. I want a grill that will roast up burgers like Mickey D’s and enough sofa animations to have my guests feeling like the party is on. Again, muah, muah to the designer for giving me texture choices in my furniture here too.
Now that I have placed all that reasonably deserves to be on a back deck I can go up stairs to my bedroom whip out some magazines and dream of decorating my basement. (Note to self, this brownstone has wayyyyy too many rooms, should I get a roommate?) Naaa, I will get a live in boy toy/stripper that will cook and clean. Hey! This is SL.

FIRST POST-Welcome to the Neighborhood

Hi! I’m Prissy

You may know me as_____, (Insert some slave to the computer title here).
But I have taken a sabbatical from the workaholic Prissy in SL to my Third Life….yes its possible. All things are possible with Lindens.

I left my sim of 5 years after owning it, selling off parcels and then just plain tired of the “View”. Enjoy! The Sim…peeps.

Welcome, to my new digs (location Non-Disclosed). After pulling off the biggest event of my SL career. “United” The Ultimate Style Card Fashion Show & Competition for ACS Relay for Life.  It was time to consider stop working and enjoy my SL. So, to get things started, I went back to my New York Uptown Girl City roots and rezzed me a Brownstone home.

I have been happily decorating my digs to an inch of my prim allowance. I think when I’m done I will not have prims to rezz a banana. But as Lindens are my witness, I will never go hungry again…or somethin like that. I just love all the talented animators that make our SL world so gosh darn believable. Ooops! There goes that country in me peeking out. I almost forgot I was a graduated diva from NYC I have been somebodies somethin for so long….again way too many titles. I just had to go find Prissy. My Hot Mochachino avi with savy. Ok! Too corny I know. But seriously, I’m so excited to start this blog, “The Adventures of Prissy”. I’m still working on the name. Folks the hard working Prissy has left the building, did I say that already?…bring on the Party Girl. WhoooHooo!

So, let me introduce you to the first day of virtual freedom.

I just finished burning thru my virtual wallet buying up everything decadent and comfy at The Loft to make my humble abode feel like Prissy. Lawdy, I love this store. These designers gave me a reason to have a bathroom. I lost it in the store and embarrassed myself playing with the toilet animations and bathtub. I will share some photos later….maybe. I would like a date at some point in SL so maybe not the toilet animations. But seriously Folks, who knew a bathroom could be so much fun in virtual.

In this blog I will tell you about my adventures...if you care to read them and some times practice my photography with a little photo shop. I’m no picture expert, but I will do my best to tell my story. In the end should the day come when I actually sign off SL, let them say “She did it her way!”

Check out THE LOFT when you get a chance.
Before I go into a designer coma, let me hurry home and rezz my new livingroom, dining room,  bedroom and bathroom. Yes, folks I have bought the store. (No Sales people were hurt in the frenzy)
Ok! Now that I have all my crates/boxes unwrapped and placed things where I want them to be…is it good to have left over furniture at these prices? Hmmm, must slow down and be more budget conscious. Ok! Yes I know I’m bad. I have been in SL since 2007, I know I have most all this stuff already in my inventory. But here is my excuse…are you ready. Designers have gotten better over the years and made things with less prims. Whew! I have redeemed myself J and justified burning future tier money.
Now that I have these rooms the way I want them…for now. I can sign off knowing that should someone peek into my home windows, they will see I have arrived. Tomorrow I will tackle the other rooms and pray to the prim gods while I do it. I know I have expensive taste. WHAT? MY NAME IS PRISSY…PRICE.
