It’s Monday and I just got home from RL work. I really need to get in the kitchen and be an Iron Chef. That stove is not going to cook a meal itself (Actually, Yeah it will.)
Ok, who am I kidding I coped out and nuked my dinner. Yeah, I got it off the Marketplace…get it? Market…Place. LOL.

Today I’m inspired to check out some old haunts (Sims) I have not visited in a long time. Since, I’m a native NYC girl I think I will go see if that Sim is still there. This Sim had Brooklyn, parts of Manhattan and the Apollo together. Let me go see if it’s still hard to catch a cab in NYC. Take a look at my attempts in the Fashion Section and I will tell you what I wore to the Big Apple. Then I think I will head over to Manhattan City and compare realism. The only sim I have ever found that truly got the RL right in my opinion was when Warner Bros. recreated Gossip Girl in SL. Now seriously folks walking those streets made me feel like I was home. They had the street numbers right and the scale bought a tear to my eyes. Their Coffee shop cafĂ© was like a true New York hangout. And the brownstones inspired me to seek out and get my own. Now I have heard that this Manhattan City boast to be the shinizzel . I can’t wait to walk the streets (no hooker jokes please…they say they have a Red Light District). I heard some of my fav stores are in resident also. So window shopping will be at its most high. That’s what most folks do in RL Manhattan…window shop. Considering I’m busted since the mad clothing sales I will go to look and shoot some photos. Assuming I can catch a cab. Its times like these I wonder whether other Sims that represent real world stopping grounds are still around like Moulin Rouge of Paris or the Serengeti of Africa. These are Sims that showed true attention to details. Almost monuments to the real places down to the vibrant dance performances from Moulin to the zebras running free in Africa. I think I will pack my luggage and take some trips to see what countries in SL still exist. I think I will even stop by the Blarney Stone in Dublin, Ireland for a pint of ale. Now that was a SIM build that truly said come visit me in RL. With all the changes in SL over the years, it’s such a shame that some very talented SIM builders were forced to leave due to the SL economy. Don’t get me wrong there is still sparks of imagination. But it’s just masked by high tech and lack of computer upgrades to see. When you toss in new SL version with bugs or if your lucky to even see mesh on your computer it all lends itself to still a good virtual experience. But just not on sensory overload like it use to be. Those creative artists Sims are a dying breed. It uses to be exploration in SL was a profession. Now …can you believe it, it’s almost a teleporting chore very few still do. As for me, I’m on vacation, so have teleport will travel. I promise to take as many photos as I can…join me on this adventure and let’s see what we see
